Locally, the YWCA Northcentral PA is currently focused on issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, sexual assault, and child advocacy. They achieve these goals through several educational programs, a housing program called Liberty House, and assisting those who have been victims with the Wise Options program. The Wise Options program is for women, men, and children who have been victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. The program provides emergency shelter, legal advocacy, protection, and counseling.
