Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence is a project of Venture Humanity, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation.


Men literally walk one mile in women’s high heeled shoes to protest sexualized violence, educate their communities and raise money for chronically underfunded rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters and other sexualized violence prevention and recovery services.

The Center has been operating since 1997 offering free confidential, and bilingual crisis intervention, counselling and support to the residents of the Shediac, Cap-Pelé and Beaubassin-Est rural communities.

Our mission is too eliminate family violence and other societal problems through education, prevention and intervention.

Some of our services include:
– Group sessions for female victims of family
violence, for children exposed to violence and for
the perpetrators
– 24/7 days a week crisis line
– Educational programs for youths
– Short term counselling for issues such as:
Family violence, Sexual Assault, Separation or Divorce, Family and/or relationship Difficulties, Conflict between parents and youths, Low self-esteem, Emotional Problems (grief, stress,etc), Addictions, Depression and Suicidal thoughts, Hospice Shediac.

Since 1997, the Center has provided more than 15, 000 interventions. 1,700 interventions were completed in 2012 to which more than 500 of those interventions were victims of family violence.
