Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence is a project of Venture Humanity, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation.


Men literally walk one mile in women’s high heeled shoes to protest sexualized violence, educate their communities and raise money for chronically underfunded rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters and other sexualized violence prevention and recovery services.

Firstly, we provide short-term emergency shelter, offering a place of refuge and support. Residents length of stay varies according to their needs and on the recommendations of their assigned consellor. During this time they receive therapeutic counselling and are encouraged to acquire marketable skills. The Shelter will assist with the necessary skills training.


 


Secondly, The Shelter has an Outreach Programme for non-residents, providing various medical, legal and training services necessary to help with the transition from victim to survivor to success.
